Bill collaborated with each team at MeYou Health to imagine, research, build, support and market a suite of clinically validated web and mobile apps that improved health and well-being.
Game Mechanics
How did Daily Challenge get such incredible user engagement? Our multiple clinical trials scientifically validated that genuine social interactions improve health and well-being.
Sensors
Sedentary behavior has become a serious health risk. MeYou Health used the latest step tracking technology to empower a social experience that got people walking, talking, and feeling better.
Mobile apps
Before step tracking was built into every smart phone, MeYou Health partnered with Raiz Labs to detect phone movement as you took the stairs, and virtually climbed famous monuments in an iPhone app.
“When businesses and managers talk about introducing collaboration, design thinking, and creativity into an organization, contributions from people like Bill are what they have in mind. I haven’t met anyone like Bill in my professional life. He is communicative, an advocate for fun, tireless in thinking how to improve a product in small and big ways, and masterful at connecting the dots.”
As a Transformational Experiences Designer, Bill’s skills as a visionary and thought leader are in high demand.
#0001 TimeWalk: to avoid sitting all day.
Team Prototype
Pitched a proposal, built a team, and led a discovery group that created 4 Pixate prototypes in 80 days. This was achieved as a hostile takeover rocked the company, a hiring freeze descended, and layoffs loomed.

Illustrations
My sketches were a big part of the MeYou Health experience, driving the design of countless product stamps, level-up trees, track images, and sales pitches. In fact, my art was framed and hung in the office!

Games for Health
I spoke at the Games for Health Conference from 2010-14, attended annual planning retreats with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation in Portland, Maine, and contributed to a panel-discussion on Games for Health at the White House in 2012.
“Bill exemplifies a playful spirit. He works hard to find the fun in any project and identifies ways to maximize the benefit for the player. He has been instrumental in identifying the game mechanics across a number of products. His attention to simplicity and clarity is crucial, especially when working in problem domains that may appear to be very difficult and dense.
Bill always brings tremendous insights to any product discussion and is an excellent sounding board for new ideas. He readily incorporates feedback and new information. He is always working in concert with the rest of the team so that everyone levels up.”
